Our units have been designed with economy in mind. We don't add extra frills or gimmicks. Instead we focus on providing clean, affordable stays that you can count on as a basecamp for your explorations into Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks. Save your money here. This cabin is a 10 x 12 foot (120 sqft) detached unit with a queen bed in the loft and a queen bed located on the ground floor. The 10 x 6 foot (60 sq/ft) loft is accessible by ladder and is NOT recommended for mobility-challenged guests. These cabins are equipped with a smart television, air conditioner, fan, heater, WIFI, and overhead reading lights. Since each unit is snug; we consider them as a comfortable base camp for your vacation in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.

You may check in using our keyless door codes, no need to speak with a staff member. Once your booking is paid, you will receive your door entry code via email & text message on the day of your arrival.

The smart tv in the cabin connects to programming using our Starlink internet service. There are multiple free channels available but you are also welcome to connect your own accounts to watch your favorite on demand or live tv. Gena's Sierra Inn & Restaurant is not responsible if you forget to unlink your streaming service accounts.

Verizon is the only cellular carrier which works reliably at our location, however you can connect your phone to our WIFI to make WIFI calls and check email or text messages.

With an onsite restaurant, you can choose to eat a professionally prepared meal or, for a small nightly rental fee, you can choose to bring your own food and use the communal kitchen stocked with a fridge/freezer, microwave, sink, electric stove, air fryer, coffee po and other appliances. Restaurant hours vary depending on the season. You can find our menu and hours on our website.

The washer and dryer located in the kitchen unit is available to wash your laundry after 5pm when housekeeping has completed their work.

Our campground style outdoor bathroom units are powered with an on demand hot water heater which only heats water when the hot water tap is open. It may take a minute for the cold water to empty from the pipe and for the hot water to reach your shower/sink.

This cabin is one of five cabins and nine historic inn rooms available at Gena's Sierra Inn.

Our location is the Central Sierra Nevada Mountain foothills and are subject to typical mountain experiences such as occasional snow, typical hot summer weather, various bugs, snakes, and wild animals like possums, ferrets or mountain lions. While it is extremely rare to encounter dangerous animals at our facility, you should be aware that the possibility exists.

Just two miles away is the last gas station for 26 miles into the National Parks and it features a nice convenience store sure to meet your snacking needs. If you purchase gas inside the National Parks, don't be surprised if you pay three times the rate as you will at the station just down the road from us. Across the street is a cute coffee shop which also serves a nice selection of breakfast items.

Less than a mile away is the world famous Project Survival's Cat Haven, a rescue sanctuary for large game cats. They offer tours of the lions, tigers, panthers and other beautiful animals.

Our restaurant and inn is just 5 miles from the Giant Sequoia National Monument and 14 miles from the entrance to the Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 3 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 3 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
